I actually kind of hate video games. I just wanted to get that out of the way so you'll understand where I'm coming from. For the most part I think video games are a total waste of time and I get bored of playing them very quickly. If it's the type of game where all you do is mash your thumbs into a controller for hours on end then you can count me out (just like John Lennon sang in "Revolution," O.K. maybe that was a slightly different context.)
I love music. That explains why I love Wii Rock Band. This is the game for people who love music. Not only can you play the guitar like you can with Guitar Hero you can also sing & play the drums and for me it's the singing and the drumming that is really interesting because it's so much like the real thing (no the guitar playing is nothing like playing a real guitar.)
I don't love exercising but I do like being in shape. The Wii Fit makes exercising fun. I actually look forward to exercising now. Think about what a great thing that is. The Wii Fit is also excellent for people of all ages and for people of all types of fitness levels. I've actually got a 2 year old nephew that loves to play the Wii Fit (he does the running games.) Usually I would think it's a horrible idea to let a 2 year old play a video game, but Wii Fit isn't your normal video game. It's actually a "game" that kids should be encouraged to use.
In my book these are the best two games you can get for your Wii right now. There's a reason they are so hard to find at the local stores, people buy them all as soon as they come in.

Wii Fit Review
I'm not that into video games unless they involve me actually doing something other than pressing buttons with my thumbs. I love Rock Band because I can sing and play the drums (on a semi realistic drum kit.) And I love Wii Fit because it actually makes exercising fun. No seriously, it does!
With Wii Fit you can create a character (and you will be weighed on the "balance board") and that character will be based on your real height and weight. As you do activities your progress will be recorded.
What are the activities? Well there are many to choose from. Everything from running to yoga. There are activities aimed at burning calories and activities aimed at strengthening your body and improving your balance. Certainly you will find some activities to be more enjoyable than others but the good thing is there are many to choose from so you will surely find some that you enjoy (and which of course also improve your fitness.)
One of the cool things about buying the Wii Fit is that it comes with a "balance board" which can also be used with many other very cool Wii games that are now coming out. Most of the other Wii games that use the balance board don't actually include it. You must buy the Wii Fit in order to get this balance board. So even if for some reason this game doesn't click with you (and I think it will) you will still get a valuable piece of equipment that comes with it and can be used with other games.
Again, I'm not a huge video game fan. This is not a standard video game. It's something that can appeal to people of all ages. And it's the rare video game that isn't a waste of your time. In fact I encourage you to "play" your Wii Fit as much as you can every day! Not only will you have a good time, you will also improve your fitness.
